Whereas Knoxville is one of my favorite destinations in the SEC, it gets a bad rap from the Bulldawg nation, and in many cases, that reputation is deserved.
The 90’s were tough on Dawg fans in Knoxville, as Tennessee went through a dominant streak that made Neyland Stadium a house of horrors for visiting teams ranging from Florida to Arkansas, and of course, Georgia.
No, their stadium isn’t as “pretty” as ours, and yes, the place is straight-up crawling with hillbillies. But take it from someone who was raised on going to games in Neyland: if you do Tennessee right, it is bar none the finest gameday experience in the country.
