The newest potential “permanent supportive housing” for chronically homeless individuals is proposed for 125 DeBusk Lane in West Knoxville, and the Mayors’ 10-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness and the Southeastern Housing Foundation will host an informational meeting Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Frank R. Strang Senior Center at 109 Lovell Heights Rd. Funding for the acquisition of the site is on the Nov. 16 County Commission agenda. The 10-Year Plan focuses on individuals who have been homeless more than a year, but according to the Homelessness in Knoxville/Knox County 2008 study conducted by Roger M. Nooe, Ph.D., Knoxville also has a fair share of people who have been on the streets much longer:
