Former Knoxville Mayor Victor Ashe may not be living in public housing much longer. The Obama administration has picked a new ambassador to Poland. Ashe has been staying on as ambassador after the inauguration until a new envoy is confirmed.
The pick is believed to be Lee Feinstein, who worked in the Clinton state department and was national security adviser for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Clinton is now Secretary of State.
Feinstein, according to the Washington Post, got the plum assignment beating out Mark Brzezinski, the son of Zbigniew Brzezinski, national security adviser for former President Jimmy Carter.
