Leah Noe has brought non-intrusive, holistic therapy to a new spot in Knoxville, practicing the ancient art of reflexology from the Suburban Office Plaza. A registered, certified relexologist, Leah promotes natural balance and revitalization feet first at East Tennessee Reflexology.
“As a reflexologist, I work to stimulate the nerve endings in the feet, on the pressure points that correspond to each gland, organ, and part of the body,” she says. “That serves to relax and normalize the functions of the body.”
For those who are new to the idea of reflexology, Leah recommends a moisturizing, rehydrating paraffin dip for hands or feet, or an Aqua-Chi Detoxifying Foot Soak. “When the body is unable to filter all the impurities through your liver, toxins can build up in the adipose tissue under the skin,” she explains. “This ionized soak, which is a lovely treat, lets your body expel the impurities through the pores in the bottom of your feet.”
While reflexologists are not doctors and as such make no claim to cure, prescribe, or diagnose disease, benefits of reflexology may include relief from stress, headaches, arthritis, or earaches—along with a number of other frustrations of modern life, says Leah. “Our approach is to enable the body’s natural healing process to promote wellness.”
