Ex-Mustard mastermind Chris Cook is returning to circulation this weekend when he joins the High Score at Pilot Light. “It’s the first show in, I think, two years Cookie will be playing with us,” writes High Score frontman Robbie Trosper in an e-mail. “The return of Cookie. He’s able to start playing more these days and is writing again so we’re excited to break out some jams.”
The news has been greeted around the Metro Pulse office with speculation about when, or if, Cook will ever issue the legendary unreleased tracks from Mustard’s unfinished final album.
The High Score plays Pilot Light on Friday, May 8, at 10 p.m. with Invisible Giants. Admission is $5.
