The Cider House, an annex of The Valarium, will finally open in mid-April after a couple of months of delays. The club was set to open in late January, but the scheduled shows for February were either canceled or postponed after owner Gary Mitchell’s plans for the space grew. Originally intended as a 300-person capacity venue, it’s now going to have room for 6-800 people.
Bon Jovi tribute band Slippery When Wet will play The Cider House on Friday, April 17, with Florida new-school punks Against Me! scheduled for Sunday, April 19. Visit thevalarium.com for more details.
