What is wayfinding, you ask? Strangely enough, it’s exactly what it sounds like, only backwards. It’s making it easier for people to find their way around, using signs. And apparently it’s an industry that’s worth [an amount not to exceed] $114,840 to the city of Knoxville. Last month, City Council approved an expenditure of that amount so that MERJE, a Philadelphia business that specializes in this, can put some signs up downtown so people can figure out how to get to places. Well, here’s hoping that they’re less moronic than the Data Dog.
Thursday, March 12, 6 p.m., Small Assembly Room of the City County Building
