We reported a few weeks ago that The Glowing Body, the new yoga studio on Irwin Street in the Downtown North neighborhood, would soon be hosting live music. That kicks off this weekend with the first installment of the Round Rug Series, a weekly performance of acoustic music. Leah Gardner (Maid Rite Stringband, Cruz Contreras’ new project The Black Lillies), Matt Morelock (Maid Rite, The Bearded, Phil Pollard’s Band of Humans), and Vince Ilagan (Christabel and the Jons, Mitch Rutman Group) will perform original folk-inspired songs in The Glowing Body’s yoga studio space on Friday, March 13, at 8 p.m. Admission is $5. Snacks will be available; alcohol is BYOB. The Bowmans are scheduled to perform on Friday, March 20.
