Lumpy Lambert on Track to Conduct Classes

Knox County Commissioner Greg “Lumpy” Lambert has completed the NRA safety instructor course and once his paperwork is completed he will be able to conduct classes necessary to get a “gun carry” permit.

Lambert may need to get the support of all the permit holders in the county, if he follows through with plans to run against fellow Commissioner Mike Hammond for the newly created countywide commission seat. A charter change creates one-commissioner districts and two countywide commission seats.

Lambert has been in the news lately (imagine that) as being the only hold-out on commission opposing the effort to get embattled County Law Director Bill Lockett to resign.
