Number: Magazine, a Memphis-based arts journal aimed at readers in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, focuses exclusively on Knoxville in its most recent issue. The 24-page paper—the “Knoxville Issue”—features a photograph inside the Yee-Haw Industries studio on the cover and includes contributions from University of Tennessee art professors Jason S. Brown and Beauvais Lyons, Birdhouse co-founder Katie Ries, former Knoxville Voice arts and entertainment editor Eric Dawson, art critic Denise Stewart-Sanabria, the Knoxville Museum of Art’s Chris Molinski and David Butler, and photographer Benjamin Wooten. Copies of the magazine are available at UT’s Art and Architecture Building. The website hasn’t been updated yet—it still features the Chattanooga issue—but you can check it out at numberinc.org.
