Local artist and DJ Sarah Shebaro, who performs under the name Mini-Tiger, is leaving Knoxville after four and a half years to seek her fortune in New York City. She’s leaving immediately but says she hopes to come back often.
“There’s a great community already there that I can rely on,” she says. “But I want us to get some sort of underground artistic railroad going on between New York and Knoxville.”
Shebaro moved to Knoxville in 2005 from Iowa City to pursue a master’s degree in printmaking from the University of Tennessee.
