Stewart Pack's New Band Is Packed With Local Talent

Longtime singer/songwriter recruits musicians for new project Stewart Pack and the Silent Kays

Local singer/songwriter Stewart Pack, formerly of Pegclimber, the 1-900s, and Dinky Doo, has teamed up with a handful of other Knoxville music luminaries—including Knathan Halliburton of the Leningrads and former V-Roys drummer Jeff Bills—for a new project called Stewart Pack and the Silent Kays.

“The set is a mix of mostly Stewart’s songs with a few of mine mixed in for texture and is a bit of a departure for Stewart—acoustic guitars and piano and three-part harmonies a la the Band,” Halliburton writes in an e-mail.

The line-up includes Pack on guitar and vocals, Halliburton on guitar, Spencer Corden on piano, Greg Dunn on bass, and Bills on drums. The group is currently recording a three-song demo and has shows lined up at Preservation Pub on Saturday, Aug. 8, and Barley’s Taproom on Thursday, Aug. 20.

In related news, Westside Daredevils guitarist Gray Comer has joined Halliburton in the Leningrads.
