The Beck Cultural Exchange Center has announced a $1 million expansion—nearly $900,000 of which is being paid by Knox County—to its Dandridge Avenue facility. The expansion will add 5,000 square feet to the center’s 900 square foot exhibition hall. The project is expected to take about one year. This week, County Mayor Mike Ragsdale, County Commission members, and city of Knoxville architect Dave Collins will present the plan in detail, including a timeline, and an opportunity for public questions and comments.
Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m., Beck Cultural Exchange Center, 1927 Dandridge Ave.
