More on Big Ears

Updates on the Big Ears extravaganza of out-there music scheduled for downtown during the first weekend of February: A cheaper weekend pass is now available for $100, half of the $195 all-access pass; the schedule, at least for the big acts performing at the Bijou Theatre, has been set; and individual tickets for those shows are now on sale in addition to the two sets of weekend passes.

The Inner Ear Pass, allowing access to all events, is available for $195. The Outer Ear Pass costs $100 and guarantees admission to all events except the Philip Glass and Antony and the Johnsons concerts and the festival finale blow-out with Michael Gira, Fennesz with Mark Linkous and Scott Minor, and Larkin Grimm. The Bijou concerts, expected to be the biggest draws of the three-day festival, start with Fennesz ($25) at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, and John Hassell + Maarifa Street ($25) at 10:30 p.m. Philip Glass ($50) will perform on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m., followed by Antony and the Johnsons ($35) at 8 p.m. and The Necks ($20) at 11 p.m. Negativland ($25) takes the stage at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, followed by the finale concert ($30) at 7 p.m.
