When Handlebars was launched nearly five years ago, it really filled a need among East Tennessee motorcyclists. This is one of the best regions in the country to ride on two wheels, and it’s home to all sorts of different enthusiasts, from sportbike racers to Harley cruisers. It truly deserves its own magazine.
Our new (and, we hope, improved) Handlebars aims to do this motorcycle scene justice, covering the full range of riding available here. Written by local motorcyclists, it’ll tell you about the people, places, and events that make the area’s motorcycle culture so unique, and we’ll give you the scoop on interesting local bikes and businesses. Handlebars will bring you the best of East Tennessee motorcycling.
This first issue may not be perfect (still looking for a cruiser columnist—anyone want to apply?), but we hope it excites you about its potential as much as it excites us. Feel free to send your comments, suggestions, and ideas directly to me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
