Except for the renegade “Addison,” which leaped from 14th to fourth among the most common girls’ names between 2006 and 2007, Tennesseans have tended to favor the same handful of first names for babies of either sex from 2005-2007. And as for recent Tennessee transplant Lane Kiffin’s month old son, Monte Knox Kiffin? The curious have not received an official explanation about the significance of the middle name, but neither moniker is in the Tennessee top 25. Maybe next year?
