Here are a few end-of-the-year predictions just to keep your blood pressure up through the holidays.
Councilman Joe Bailey will contend to be the next mayor of Knoxville.
Where does that leave West Knoxville Repubs if Councilwoman Marilyn Roddy runs?
County Clerk Foster Arnett will try and win re-election this year, but is also looking down the road for either city or county mayor, depending on the lay of the land during his next term.
Will Vice Mayor Bob Becker be the incumbent Knoxville mayor going into the next election, should Haslam win the governor’s chair and resign office? Or will City Council pick one of its members who plan to run for the office? Or will council punt and keep Becker, rather than favor any one of the other candidates?
