Do My Shoes Match My Belt?

With the holiday parties causing extra self-consciousness, it’s not uncommon for many to take more of an interest in their seasonal appearance. But, as one East Knoxville shoe-store employee found out, some people take their desire to look their best a bit too far.

According to a Knoxville Police Department report, the female victim of a fashion critique gone wrong approached an officer at KPD’s East District office and stated that while working at a nearby shoe store, she was approached by a male suspect. When she asked him if he needed any assistance, the man replied with his own inquiry, “Do these shoes match this belt?” As the shoe clerk looked down to assess the possibility of a fashion faux pas, the suspect quickly exposed himself to her and fled towards a nearby department store.

Although it’s doubtful that the suspect had a genuine interest in his accessories’ color scheme, one has to wonder, for fashion’s sake: Did his shoes really did match his belt?
