Kudos to Metro Pulse for recognizing Tennessee’s late, great Karl Edward Wagner. [Halloween Fiction Issue, Oct. 29, 2009] Not only an icon in the horror field but my favorite author period.

I prefer his dark fantasy tales to anything Tolkien ever wrote, yes I said it! As with H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard, Karl’s stature will grow with time and Tennessee, along with the rest of the world, will realize the immense talents of this incredible writer.
