You can’t win without a good defense.
Charges were dropped and the UT Vols re-instated Janzen Jackson to the football team in time for the Kentucky game. Jackson joined Eric Berry in the defensive backfield and they held on to beat the Wildcats for the 25th year in a row, 30-24.
Jackson had been arrested for attempted armed robbery at the Pilot on Cumberland Avenue and missed the Old Miss game, in which the Vols got clobbered. Two other football players involved in the incident still face charges, but Jackson was deemed to be unaware of his companions’ involvement in the attempted hold-up.
We just have one question. After the Vols’ win Saturday night, did Jackson’s defense attorney Don Bosch get the game ball?
