Duck Races on Demand?

It’ll probably still be difficult to spot individuals, but the 40,000 or so little plastic duckies swimming in the The Great Knoxville Rubber Duck Race will be the debut video on the newly formed online video channel from organizers Derby Duck® Race. The company is a subsidiary of Charleston-based GAME, which services the pool, spa, backyard, toy and specialty product marketplaces. Reporter Kevin Q. will also be debuting, and The Boys and Girls Club of East Tennessee is the first featured non-profit on the website. Oh, and there’s a blog, too, begun Aug. 9, but it’s a little weird, intended as it is to relay “a day in the life of a derby duck” and so far including just three posts, one of which is a flap about Michael Vick’s reinstatement. By the way, it’s not too late to adopt a duck, which can be accomplished on a website of much longer standing: knoxvilleduckrace.com
