Nominations are now open for East Tennessee Public Television’s inaugural Be More Awards, intended to honor and celebrate excellence in local nonprofit communities. The four lucky local award winners—three organizations and one individual—will be celebrated with an on-air campaign, and applications (due Sept. 25) are available at ETPtv.org. Getting to host the awards is an honor of sorts for ETPTv, too—only four local affiliates were chosen by PBS to accept local nominations in the categories of non-profit arts, local service, service to kids, and individual of the year. But the honor of nominating someone else is open to anyone.
