The Black Lillies Hire Manager, Plan National Tour

As their recent release Whiskey Angel continues to impress, Cruz Contreras and The Black Lillies have engaged Chyna Brackeen as band manager, and she’s been busy building a national tour for later in the year. Currently, the campaign runs five weeks through November and December, and reaches as far as the Pacific Northwest.

“In addition to the national tour,” says Brackeen, “we’ve got some regional dates as well. They will be headlining a show at the Grey Eagle in Asheville on August 28, at Bristol Rhythm & Roots on September 18, back in Knoxville at Barley’s on October 3, and in Johnson City at the Down Home on October 24.”

Brackeen says that at some venues there’s name recognition—from Contreras’ time with Robinella, and the Black Lillies who are former Everybodyfields. But she says that even the cold calls have to admit that The Black Lillies are making “really special music.” Contreras says Brackeen is “doing a great job.”

Big ups, pups.
