Left-Wing Talk Radio

The University of Tennessee’s public radio station, WUOT 91.9 FM, will celebrate its 60th anniversary later this month with an open house, free food, an insider’s view of how public radio runs, and the chance to meet your favorite on-air personalities. The open house runs from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the station’s Communications Tower headquarters near Circle Park on the UT campus.

In other WUOT news, the station has just launched a spin-off digital channel, WUOT-2, featuring popular National Public Radio and American Public Media programs otherwise unavailable in Knoxville such as American Marketplace, Talk of the Nation, What D’Ya Know, and The Tavis Smiley Show. WUOT-2 is available at 91.9 FM on HD Radio or streaming at wuot.org.
