Modern-day blues bands typically take their cues from Chicago’s guitar-drenched sound, but Jon Worley & Cornbred Blues Band drop in all sorts of different musical influences: soulful ’60s-style organ, countryish lap steel guitar, and maybe some ’60s psychedelia via his own offbeat self. It’s the kind of eclectic, hard-to-describe music that’s Southern in the best ways.
