Given the turmoil in the Knox County Trustee’s office—overpaid employees, home entertainment systems, overpaid vacation time—it would seem that Trustee Fred Sisk may be toast come the next election.
One scenario has John Duncan III being persuaded not to run for state Sen. Tim Burchett’s soon-to-be-open seat and instead run for Trustee.
The congressman’s son has yet to run for office, though he ran the successful campaign for his friend, the current state Rep. Ryan Haynes. If he runs, chances are he would have pretty high name ID.
State Rep. Stacey Campfield is at least one candidate expected to run for Burchett’s seat. Burchett is running for Knox County Mayor.
