The City of Knoxville hired Philadelphia-based graphic-design firm MERJE to develop a downtown “wayfinding” plan. Which is to say, the city wants ideas to “make it easier for visitors to navigate around downtown as well as highlighting its attractions and offerings in an appealing—and informative—manner.” In other words, better signs. MERJE will present three options for consideration based on their research here last March.
