While Llama Train’s first release, Siren Sounds, showcased the band’s considerable pop smarts, their latest, Out of Season, captures some of the essence of the band’s perilously good-rockin’ live show. Siren’s sweet harmonies are nearly absent, shelved in favor of crunchy six-strings and a loose, jammy aesthetic that manages to highlight the band’s versatile chops without ever seeming indulgent. User’s warning: Will not induce drowsiness. Best taken with beer.
