For Crying Out Loud!

Singer/songwriter Scott Miller has quietly announced on his website a March release date for his next album, For Crying Out Loud, on his own F.A.Y. label. To get fans ready, he’s selling 1,000 copies of a signed, limited-edition version of the disc with a 20-minute documentary about the making of the album.

Many of the songs on For Crying Out Loud were featured in demo form on the limited Appalachian Refugee release this summer. The new disc will also include a cover of Taoist Cowboys’ “Wildcat Whistle” and Tom T. Hall’s “I Can’t Dance,” as well as guest vocals by Patty Griffin on “I’m Right Here, My Love.”

The pre-sale version of For Crying Out Loud is available for $20 online at and at shows.
