Hey, where’re them beer koozies?

Yes, we know, there weren’t those adorable Metro Pulse brown bag beer koozies at the Brewer’s Jam. We’ve been instructed to print an apology; it’s everyone’s fault but ours. And, next year, the koozies will be double-awesome, or not. Hey, maybe Ron White should bring his dunking booth next year. We all know that beer drinkers are impervious to heckling.

Friday, Oct. 20: What do Roman Reese and New Knoxville Brewing Company beer have in common? 1) They’re both local. 2) They’re both in your plans tonight at 9 p.m., and 3) they both have sexy smiles (except the beer).

Saturday, Oct. 21: We’ve got one question for the band Murder by Death : Is it murder any other way? It may not be the greatest band name, but it is a great band, and they’ll be at Pilot Light with Sam Lowry around 10 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 22: Spend an evening listening to Peter & The Wolf with Dodo Bird at Pilot Light at 10 p.m. Doesn’t that sound like an aged version of your favorite bedtime story? Well, it’s not. Grow up.

Monday, Oct. 23: There are all kinds of things to do in Maryville besides wave as you drive through town on your way to the mountains. For example, Maryville College and the Maryville community have banded together to form none other than the Maryville College and Community Orchestra . See the college, the community, and featured piano-playing out-of-towner, Alexander Dishon Smith , at 7:30 p.m. at Maryville College’s Wilson Chapel.

Tuesday, Oct. 24: It’s one week from Halloween—pick a corn maze, any corn maze. They are all equally creepy at night. Tell you what else is creepy: people who go to corn mazes alone. Take a date. You can find one while Speed Dating at Sapphire at
