Aimee Mann @ the Bijou
Friday, Oct. 13: Medford’s Black Record Collection may sound like a creepy, Friday the 13th band name, but it’s not. It refers to two cowboys. Seriously. They can drink four Downtown Grill & Brewery IPAs each in 10 minutes without so much as a flat harmony. Mosey to the Brew Pub at 9 p.m. and see fer yerself. Yee haw!
Saturday, Oct. 14: After a day like Brewers’ Jam , a person has two choices: keep going or go home. Blue Mother Tupelo will be at Barley’s at 9 p.m. Do the right thing.
Sunday, Oct. 15: I’m sorry—what did you say? You’re tired? You have to go to work tomorrow? Well suck it up, soldier. The local economy isn’t going to pay for itself. March down to Sassy Ann’s and buy Lylas & Twinkiebots a drink. Heck, get yourself a margarita while you’re there.
Monday, Oct. 16: Mondays are tough on everyone. Our friends at WDVX make the workweek a little easier with bands like Martha Bassett’s Camel City Swingers . Doesn’t that just sound like a pleasant way to spend your lunch break? Tell you what. Go to the Blue Plate Special at noon, then swing (pun intended) by Market Square for some sangria. What your boss doesn’t know won’t kill her. Or, you could bring her along.
Tuesday, Oct. 17: Every book is a children’s book if the kid can read.
Wednesday, Oct. 18: Some creatures have to be seen to be believed: sasquatches, sirens, The Bearded , centaurs. We expect all of the aforementioned mythical wonders to show up at the Corner Lounge by 9 p.m.
