Former football coach Lou Holtz leaves a legacy of shame

Now that the dust is settling, we can assess the legacy of Lou Holtz’s tenure at the University of South Carolina: In the end, we can see that two lower-tier bowl appearances were purchased with five NCAA violations and 10 other problems/violations of various sorts under Holtz’s watch. All of that, as the punishments inevitably handed down to the university, in exchange for two crummy trips to the Outback Bowl.
