Bits and Pieces
An interview with the UT AD
by Tony Basilio
Metro Pulse had a chance to catch up with UT Athletics Director Mike Hamilton, who enters his third football season at the helm of the Big Orange this year, for some Q&A.
It’s been one of the hottest summers in a while. With that in mind, it seems the new 12:30 kickoff time is questionable. Your thoughts?
Can you tell Jefferson Pilot, “No dice,” after they select one of your games?
Does it have to be a home game to fulfill your obligation? That being asked, what about Vanderbilt or Kentucky to fulfill your obligation?
How much pressure did you get in making the decision to shy away from a Sunday kickoff from the local church community?
What’s the reaction been like to the release of the Tony McDaniel video showing McDaniel breaking the face of fellow student Edward Goodrich?
USA Today recently wrote a front page story on the UT football program that characterized it as being “out of control.” This kind of press can’t be good. Your thoughts?
I noticed there’s some construction going on in Neyland Stadium. Is that the new replay booth? And what gives with the ominous black paint in the booth?
Are you pro-instant replay in college football?
Tune in and talk sports with Tony Basilio weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on ESPN Radio WVLZ 1180 AM.
