Letter: Where's the Beef (Stroganoff)?

I've been in this area for almost 20 years and have been a frequenter of many restaurants and eateries. And I've read your restaurant guides for many of those years.

Look, as I might, I cannot find one of my favorite dishes, beef stroganoff, listed on any listing/menu for either Knoxville or for that matter Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. My wife discovered a good recipe for it and makes it excellently. My son-in-law first tried it at our house and invariably asks her to make it for us from time to time because he loves it, as I do.

My wife tells me the ingredients are relatively inexpensive and it's relatively easy to make. So it surprises me that I can't find a restaurant that offers it on the menu. Is there any reason for this? Does some restaurant that I've missed offer it? If so, it sure would be nice to know.

It would also be nice to know if there's any place in this area where you can get a Sabrett Hot Dog!
