Letter: Omit Staleness

It is a shame that this opportunity to explain the Royal Bangs phenomenon to a wide audience was marred by irresponsible planning and undigested bitterness when the essence of their music is a transcendence of such pettiness; their music opens onto the sublime, beauty unfolds from pain, hearts are healed (mine anyway) and faces are rocked. ["All Banged Up" by Matthew Everett, Aug. 11, 2011] In any case I hope that future Metro Pulse coverage of local artists and musicians will focus on their often remarkable artistic accomplishments and perhaps even the meaning that locally produced entertainment creates for members of our community. Staleness over missed phone calls and boring road trips is best omitted for the spiritual wellbeing of all involved.
