I just read the open letter to Bill Haslam in the current edition. ["Special Open Letters Edition!", Jan. 5, 2012] It was quite an amusing letter to say the least. I kind of thought the "birther" movement re: President Obama had died out, but I guess there are still a few die-hard Donald Trump fans out on the fringe. If the president had been ruled ineligible a few years ago to run for office, then he wouldn't have run! What part of this do these Obama haters not understand? Governor Pilot (I mean Haslam) did not violate the oath of office, and he cannot change the fact that the president was elected fairly. I did not vote for him, but I feel the governor is handling his duties very well. To the birthers I would just say: Get over it!
I faithfully remain,
