Letter: The Henley Puzzle

I liked Jack Neely's article about the Rossini Festival's move to Henley ["Rossini Reboot?", Citybeat, May 9, 2013] but he left out an obvious consideration: World's Fair Park. Why would the festival move to Henley Street instead of into the park?

The park has the amphitheater for music performances (covered in case of bad weather), two huge festival lawns, electrical and water connections throughout, public restrooms, and easy access to the indoor spaces at the convention center and the Holiday Inn convention thingee. And a festival in the park doesn't require rerouting traffic off a major road.

Should we infer that the Public Building Authority that runs the park is feuding with someone at the opera or the city or both?
