Letter: Dance Fever

I'm fairly new to Knoxville and I love Metro Pulse. A Birmingham, Ala., native, I've been here following your paper for close to a year. Your wonderful "EDM Empire" feature really caught my attention. [Cover story by Mike Gibson, May 2, 2013]

As what you could call an "old-school raver," I am absolutely thrilled to see that the EDM scene is blossoming here! I only hope it continues to flourish, welcoming bigger and better electronic acts. (Bassnectar, anyone?!)

I met my husband—a '90s NYC raving vet—at Bonnaroo. We honeymooned in Miami at Ultra Music Fest. We love to dance our faces off. Raves are our second home. I have yet to check out the scene here in Knoxville, but after reading your article I plan to give it a shot.

Counting down the days to Crystal Method at Cherokee... and Flux Pavillion in the Old City!

Keep up the great work! Of the many Southern cities I've frequented, Knoxville is (arguably) the most interesting, creative, liberal, open-minded, and unique... at least the Knoxville according to Metro Pulse. Thank you for keeping me up to date on the best musical acts in the area.
