I just wanted to comment quickly how much I enjoyed the piece you ran a couple weeks ago on Knoxville son and well-known fantasy writer, the late Karl Edward Wagner. [Halloween Fiction Issue, Oct. 29, 2009, plus the online-only story, "Is Knoxville Ready For a Karl Wagner Horror Festival?" by April Snellings.] Wagner was a driving force in horror as well, editing a dozen or so volumes of The Year's Best Horror, a series which thrived under his editorship and helped re-make horror in the 1980s. I had wanted to attend the KEW dinner held in Knoxville but was unable; but if they do it again in a year, or have any kind of conference or convention, you bet I'll be there.
