Ghastly Surprise

Trick or treat? In this case, definitely treat: the spine-chilling cover and the wonderfully written and eerily terrific Halloween tale by Karl Edward Wagner was certainly a better way to begin the Halloween weekend than gnawing on candy corn and hard caramel candies. ["Where the Summer Ends," Oct. 29, 2009] It was just ghoulishly special.
