Just wanted to drop you a line and say that the new format for Handlebars is great. With any new venture there is bound to be positive and negative reaction. I have been riding motorcycles for 30 years, Harley's for 25 of those years. On that note, I envied all the members of the 555 club and would have loved to have been a part of their little excursion. My first bike was just that: a $300 Honda Scrambler that let me realize just what was meant by two-wheel freedom. Most of us that ride V-twins evolved to what we currently are loyal to. I liked the old format of Handlebars just as much as the next guy but once you have seen one Bike Night they are all about the same. Don't get me wrong, I frequented most of the ones that were featured every month, and enjoy every one of them that open their doors and welcome motorcyclists. I also think Randy Gracy has done a great job as an ambassador for our culture. I just like to read and be involved in anything involving two wheels, don't care what you ride as long as you ride. Hang in there, keep up the good work, and things will work out. Is the 555 club accepting new members? I've had my eye out for a 350 Scrambler, or may upgrade to a 500 Yamaha, (pre 1975 model).
