Knox County Public Library's new reading series starts with a discussion, led by Knoxville chief policy officer Bill Lyons, of Nate Silver's The Signal and the Noise: Why Some Predictions Fail and Others Don't.

The series continues with discussion of Steven Pinker's The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined (Feb. 20); Jay Erskine Leutze's Stand Up That Mountain: The Battle to Save One Small Community in the Wilderness Along the Appalachian Trail (March 20); and Madeleine Kunin's The New Feminist Agenda: Defining the Next Revolution for Women, Work, and Family (April 17).
