Louisiana singer/songwriter Marc Broussard often performs barefoot, and generally injects New Orleans-style funk into his rootsy R&B. All that may seem like an affectation—it sure sounds like it on “Keep Coming Back,” the title track from his latest CD—but Broussard’s roots in blue-eyed R&B run deep. His father, Ted Broussard, played guitar for the Cajun soul band the Boogie Kings. Broussard’s equally capable of country soul ballads, as on “When it’s Good” with LeAnn Rimes, and “Why Should She Wait.” It’s neither Gregg Allman or the Meters, but there aren’t many artists out there who do a little of both.
