The Third Grade Haters say power chords run in their veins. They certainly run through their amps—the youthful trio’s demo release, Pompous and Proud, is unashamed hard rock, equal parts boot-stomping rhythm, razor-edged guitar leads, and stadium-chant vocals (“Baby Baby Baby”). (Matthew Everett)
