Rikki your bias is showing. Shame on you. I once read of an old chap who was regarded as a phemo in the acting circles. He was a master equestrian rider and celebrated fencing sensation. He was highly educated and a man of privilege. He attended the finest boarding schools and ran with the social elite. He was highly regarded by his peers and an actor of rock star sensation. Yet on April 15th 1865, he pulled a revolver from his coat and assassinated President Lincoln. Booth and Tindell share many common threads. They were booth men of privilege who let ambition and a false sense of self worth get the best of them. What a sad way to destroy a legacy
If Tindell is as chased as you say, he needed to fight like heck to defend his honor and not concede by “taking the fall”. Real men know the value of their honor and do not use it as a bargaining chip. 1000 good deeds do not make up for the corruption and miss use of public trust. I imagine John Duncan III’s day in court is coming and the whole truth will come out.
Tindell and Burnett should just be happy we do not live in Roman times. If a public official was found guilt of corruption in those days, their hands and feet where bound. A burlap sack filled with rabid rats was placed over their heads and they where thrown into the river. 11 months and 29 days of probation – A criminal record expunged after that. I think he’ll do fine. I’m sure Jimmy Duncan has something lined up for him. The true loss to Tindell in all this is he’ll have to personally pay for all those fancy meals he’s always bragging about. I'm sure loosing the county Purchasing card is really killing him.
