The MPC has not been too effective since Knoxville is about 50 years behind in progress compared to other large cities in Tennessee. They have allowed a few large projects to slip through their fingers like the Smokies Stadium that is in Sevier County. I seem to remember two or three million spent years ago to find out where to locate the new stadium in Knoxville. Where did that money go? West Knox County is not the only area in Knox County that needs improvement or development. There is north, south, and east Knox County! Drive down Tazewell Pike to Emory Road at 5:00PM and tell me a traffic light is not needed there. Downtown Knoxville looks like it did 30 years ago when I was a kid. I also don`t agree with eminent domain where the city comes in and condemns a place and just takes it from it`s owners. How many millions has the MPC cost the taxpayer in it`s 59 years of existence?
