The waste disposal might be an issue due to mad cow. Prions (deformed proteins that lead to this) survive even cooking, so they'd probably survive composting. Spreading them on grass cows would eat starts they cycle of cow on cow cannibalism that leads to this disease (also why you can't use ground cow bits to supplement cattle feed).
