As a 2011 Johnson grad, I love that JU has been featured in Metro Pulse! Jack, you told the story of Johnson well, and captured why so many of us were behind the name change. One correction: although every student majors in Bible, it's not our ONLY major. There are 12 other Bachelor's degree programs- you just have to double major to be a part of one. (check it out here: http://johnsonu.edu/MajorsPrograms/Ba...)
That said, most Johnson students graduate with two degrees, one being Bible and the other ranging anywhere from Education to Counseling to Media Communications to, yes, Preaching. I myself was part of the first graduating class of Nonprofit Business Management majors and now work in Advancement at another University. I wouldn't have attended Johnson had I not had the opportunity to study both Bible and Business. I wanted to study the Bible intensively (no survey courses for me) but I also wanted to go into business- not outright ministry. Johnson has options for both future missionaries AND future businesswomen. :)
