I don't think modernist buildings are the ugliest parts of our city. I think Mr. McCarty is spot on when he calls the strip malls pretty gruesome! Have you driven down Chapman Hwy, Clinton Hwy, or parts of Kingston Pike lately? EEK!
You have to view modern buildings with an open mind. They really can be pretty cool and have their own character. I always like to think of them as being early James Bond-ish:-).
