I learned about Bacon Fest all too late, but I had heard about Benton's bacon from the folks at Pizza Kitchen when the owner was telling me it would be featured on their Sunday brunch menu.

For everyone that missed out and don't know what all the fuss Benton's bacon was for I can tell you that the first taste was enough to make me a believer in the perfect smoky, salty, savory perfection. The "candied Benton's bacon" that Travis put under my nose opened my eyes to an even greater potential of bacon.

I'll be at Bacon Fest next year, but until then I know where to take friends to taste bacon perfection to get them hooked.
